Rabbi Zeff holds a BA from UCLA in Hebrew Language, an MS in Jewish History from Yeshiva University, and received Rabbinic Ordination from the Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary of Yeshiva University. He served as the spiritual leader of the Westwood Kehilla Congregation in Los Angeles for seven years before moving to Israel in 1994. For the decade after his aliyah to Israel he held the position of Senior Lecturer at the David Shapell College of Jewish Studies in Jerusalem. Subsequently to his tenure at Shapell College Rabbi Zeff served as Dean of Yeshivat Torat Yosef-Hamivtar, an affiliate of Ohr Torah Stone Institutions under the direction of Rabbi Shlomo Riskin.
Rabbi Zeff, well known as an unusually gifted speaker and teacher, has been published widely and is a frequent scholar-in-residence throughout the Jewish world. Kenesset Israel Torah Center and the entire Sacramento Jewish community is most excited and gratified that Rabbi Zeff is now serving as the permanent spiritual leader of KITC.

"And G‑d said 'let there be light' ... and there was light". The letters and words of the Hebrew alphabet - teaches the Torah - are the building blocks of the universe.
In this course we will unearth the mystical dimension of the Hebrew letters of the "Alef Bet". The letters' names, their phonetic sounds, their graphic design, and even their corresponding numerical values will shed light on the infinite wisdom embedded within these G‑dly letters.
This course will review the overview of the original course, and continue to new letters in the alef bet, which were not yet discussed. Whether you're attending this course for the first time, or returning from the previous course, you will find this course intriguing, meaningful and educational.
