Mazel Tov! Rabbi for starting a sixth year of providing Tanya classes every day at Chabad Queen Mary and for making this important learning available online.

Yes you could have a 'virtual post' and Chabad.org and others are doing a magnificent job spreading Torah virtually everywhere. However, it doesn't preclude having a 'live post' where you can bring people in your community to your Shabbos table, pray together and learn together (in person)...a much greater impact on the individual.

"...Further, to bring an end to golus/exile and have all the Jewish people brought to Israel by Moshiach, we must accomplish it through our Avodah/divine service in exile. Therefore we must stay at our 'post' and spread the light of Torah and Mitzvahs in our environment to bring Moshiach NOW."
Yes Rabbi, but now with the internet, the ability to spread Torah, it being such a powerful tool, couldn't there be such a thing as virtual 'posts?' Or is this not a kosher method/ idea? Thank you.

Thank you R. Fine for bringing to awareness the truth of how the "things" that we own can be used in the service of G-d, thereby elevating one's portion of the world.

As we discussed on line it is beyond our scope to understand 'why' but our real question should be 'what' are we to do. We need to respond with increased light in a time of darkness. Further, to bring an end to golus/exile and have all the Jewish people brought to Israel by Moshiach, we must accomplish it through our Avodah/divine service in exile. Therefore we must stay at our 'post' and spread the light of Torah and Mitzvahs in our environment to bring Moshiach NOW. While I empathize with your pain, we can never allow the pain to dictate our actions to change the world for good!!

FIrst off, I just want to say what a treasure Rav Fine is. I tune in everyday and I value the bright light he reveals from the Alter Rebbe's teachings.
Unfortunately, I need clarity on how the Tanya and Chabad Chassidus in general treats the heinous murders in Eretz Israel Erev Shabbos. Why?!!! How is one even able to comprehend any good that comes from this? And its conspicious absence from the mass media?
Secondly, how does this recent horrific event not cause Am Israel here in the galus to not make Aliyah en masse? How can an amazing organization like Chabad not endorse Alyiah, where the vast majority over our loyal "Chabadniks" stay here in the galus waiting for Moshiach? We have Eretz Israel why don't we all go and claim it?
I understand these are difficult questions. But the beauty of studying Torah in any Beit Midrash reveals that no sincere request is off limits. I pray mine isn't either.
May we all be blessed with the coming of Moshiach soon.

Using one and zero, the analogy works. A thing is either G-d directed and therefore exists (1) or it is self directed and an illusion (0). As you have said, "Everything is but G-d." If i identify myself as my animal soul and then serve myself, i have accomplished nothing. If i identify myself as my G-dly soul and serve G-d, now i can accomplish great things. Thank you to you and your BIT's for your help with learning the user's manual for the Jewish soul.

Shalom Rabbi,
I'm having trouble reconciling today's class with the principle that no one Jew can fulfill all 613 Mitzvot (i.e. because we have no Beit Hamigdash now and even if we did there are some Mitzvot that only Kohanim can fulfill while others only Yisraelim can fulfill among other issues). This being said, how then can we possibly include all 613 Mitzvot in our souls' garments?
Thank you for bringing to light the Tanya each and every day- Hanukah Sameach.

In the Germara there is this statement. It has been taught: R. Eliezer son of R. Jose said: All the charity and deeds of kindness which Israel perform in this world [help to promote] peace and good understanding between them and their Father in heaven, as it says, Thus saith the Lord, Enter not into the house of mourning, neither go to lament, neither bemoan them, for I have taken away my peace from this people . . . even lovingkindness and tender mercies, [where] lovingkindness refers to acts of kindness, and tender mercies to charity. This is not for the benefit of any person but for all of Israel this act of kindness. I hope that I am right on this.
